Barefoot Pure Cardio

Having not gotten to it yesterday, I did the Pure cardio workout this morning. Barefoot.

It was cold in my gym this morning; hopefully a sign that the sun is going to return and the rain will stop for a few days. Point is, my delicate little toesies were chilly!

By the third set in the warm-up I was feeling the friction on the front ball of my feet. I was curious if it would go away and it did.

My gym is an add-on to the garage. It has a concrete floor over which I have a 10x15 carpet/rug. In another section I have a wrestling mat, but I haven't used it for this. I figured it could be a usefull fall-back if needed, but I am not thinking I will be needing it! I am landing like a cat and feeling like a barefoot ninja.

During the level 2 drills, where you move from standing, to push-up position, to vertical jump, I was conscious of how my feet were hitting the deck when I threw them back to push-up position. I didn't have any issue and don't think I would have even been aware of it were it not cold. During level 1 drills a few days ago there were no issues. That's how I figured the whole thing out!

So the journey continues... kick off your shoes and stay a while!
