Shakeology Cost by Memberhip Type

I wanted to take a minute to address the cost breakdown of Shakeology via different buying options. Since we have three levels of involvement, new customers can often wonder what the best way for them is to purchase this life changing shake.

First a quick review of levels of involvment:

1. Free Member: Work with your coach to reach your goals, access Teambeacbody.com and all it has to offer, pay retail for all products including workout programs and nutritional items.
2. Club Member: Pay $38 per quarter for all the benefits of Free Membership plus 10% Discount on all workout programs and nutritional items, personalized meal planner, access to celebrity trainers, and more.
3. Coach Member: Pay $38 to start your membership, $15 per month after that. Get all the benefits of Free Membership,  a 25% Discount on all workout programs and nutritional items, and get paid for referrals and more. It's like a Costco membership with a bonus!

The focus of this post is to compare prices for Shakeology options. The 10% discount offered by Club membership isn't enough to make up the the difference of the quarterly club membership fees so it won't be discussed here. If a club member is to use all of the services offered by the club membership, then this would be of good value. If a person is just interested in Shakeology, they are better to stick with Free Membership or Coach membership.

As a customer you can order a monthly auto-shipment which we call Home Direct. This will save you the cost of shipping and handling; about $10. Home direct is also available to Coach members with the same savings. Your credit card will be billed monthly and you can call to change, suspend, or terminate your order or your membership at any time.

So if we break it down and look at it just by monthly cost,  it is worth it to start a Coach Membership if you are interested in getting the best price on Shakeology and intend on buying more than one 30-day supply.

If we assume you are going to love the way Shakeology makes you feel like so many people do, then we may want to see what happens if we spread the cost of coach membership over however many bags of Shakeology you were to buy. This next chart is a little confusing that way and is not meant to mislead. I have taken the $38 cost of coach membership and spread it over the number of bags purchased.

Look at these two charts together closely and you will see that just buying Shakeology the cost levels out just about $105 per month on Home Direct as a Coach. Add any workout programs or nutritional products and the cost savings comes down further. I generally recommend a workout program (like P90X, Turbo Fire, or ChaLEAN Extreme), Shakeology, Core Omega-3, and the P90X Meal Replacement Bars. If you are pushing your body really hard and want the best results in the shortest amount of time, I also suggest P90X Results & Recovery Formula.

But that's just trying to get the most out of your 25% discount and you can't make money by spending money!

A coach member gets paid for referrals. Without getting into details on that, let me just say that when a coach refers someone to try Shakeology and they buy at retail through that coach, the coach gets to pocket that 25% putting roughly $30 into their pocket. Since the coach is paying about $90 for Shakeology, three referrals allows them all the health benefits of Shakeology almost for FREE!
